Fanart piece of Sakiko Togawa from the BanG Dream! franchise and Ave Mujica: The Die is Cast anime series.
This artwork was heavily inspired by the not-so-subtle implications that this character represents Jesus, taking as a reference the statue of Cain by Henri Vidal.
The contrast of lights and shadows is an interpretation of the world of light and world of darkness that the book Demian by Herman Hesse is centered around, as Sakiko walks to the left (focused on her past mistakes and refusing to look forward), leaving the light and succumbing to her own darkness while carrying the sins of her bandmates, friends and relatives on her back. Her world is nothing but despair and solitude, forever in flames.
