Faceless Maria (Fanart)

Fanart of the character Sakiko Togawa (Oblivionis) from the BanG Dream! franchise. The process for this artwork was sketch -> composition sketch -> lineart -> final result.
For this particular piece, I used for inspiration the songs Sophie and Crucifix X by Ave Mujica, since they both have religious motifs. The references for the statue of Mother Mary are different real life statues, to get a better grasp on how to draw and paint a statue on digital.
The meaning of this artwork is up to interpretation.
